First Mile to Education Careers

The First Mile to Education Careers offers Teacher Assistant Training, approved by the RI Department of Education (RIDE). Once you've completed the training, you will have the opportunity to become a full-time, part-time or substitute teacher assistant. This program is delivered by a team of highly qualified teachers, teacher assistants, healthcare professionals, and ESOL instructors. The First Mile to Education Careers is the beginning of a pathway to teaching.
 

Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis and space is limited. The TA training is for Rhode Island residents only.
