Professional Development Instructors
Part-Time Employees

The Institute for Labor Studies and Research (ILSR) is seeking highly experienced instructors to facilitate on-demand professional development workshops to Rhode Island adult workers in the Spanish language. We are looking for personable facilitators who can connect with workshop participants meeting the challenge of learning the Spanish language.
These individuals will deliver instruction empowering participants to learn skills they can immediately transfer to the workplace and everyday life.
Subject(s):

Beginner Conversational Spanish

Intermediate and Advanced as potential offerings

Responsibilities:
-
Collaborate with ILSR to develop curriculum (unless otherwise provided by ILSR)
-
Provide effective/interactive lessons to facilitate positive student engagement and participation
-
Prepare and manage classroom materials (PowerPoint presentations, handouts, surveys, content focused assessments, etc.)
-
Report/communicate participant attendance
-
Utilize the tools provided in ZOOM video conferencing
Experience Required:
-
3-5-years experience teaching to adult learners
-
Proven proficiency in the Spanish language, both written and spoken
-
Videoconferencing instruction via ZOOM
-
In-person instruction
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish language or equivalent lived/work experience
Work Locations:
-
In-person at the ILSR, Cranston RI
-
Remote via ZOOM videoconferencing
-
Travel to offsite locations requiring access to a personal vehicle
Hours per week:
-
Varies - up to 10 hours
-
Classes are on demand - no weekly guarantee

Workshops are primarily held Monday – Friday during the day, some evenings
Hourly wage:

$70 per hour
